
“My wedding countdown is officially under 100 days and it’s time to really amp up my workouts. I’ve been working out in the S&M and Happy hour classes every Monday through Saturday, but it’s time to start lifting weights! Anna has given me some great videos for arm workouts so I’ve been trying to incorporate those workouts into my normal cardio routine. After working out so much, I feel like I need to eat something healthy but easy to make.
One of my favorite things to do after a workout is reward myself with a protein shake. I’ve tried a bunch of different proteins (whey, hemp, and pea) and my favorite is definitely unflavored pea protein. Specifically, Now Sports Pea Protein: it’s flavorless, easily digestible, and very smooth. Pea protein has just as much protein as whey or hemp, it’s just my favorite because of the texture and taste; you should give it a try and let me know if you like it!”
Grace’s Pea Protein Shake (with strawberries and pineapple)
1 scoop pea protein
8 ounces water (or coconut water)
1/2 cup strawberries – frozen or fresh
1/2 cup pineapples
Place all ingredients into the blender and blend on the smoothie button until smooth. Perfect for a post workout lunch!
