Why dancing? Dancing is how I communicate and connect to the world. Being able to express myself through movement is what I need for my soul, and dance is what fuels me in all aspects of my life. There’s nothing else I’d rather be doing.
One thing you love the most about AKT? Hard to pick one, but if I had to… The overall positivity, and support I feel from my peers is great. Also, I really love being able to make someone else’s day better and brighter through fitness by helping clients feel like they can accomplish more than they thought they could. Finally, I really LOVE peep holes in the Factory.
Your advice to an AKT newbie? Start out slow, one step at a time and one day at a time. I always tell my clients that it’s not a race to the finish line. It’s a steady climb to the top, accomplishing goals along the way.
How to make it through an AKT workout? Pace yourself and breathe.
Favorite jam of the moment? GDFR by Flo Rida.
How do you unwind after a busy day? After a really long day, I can’t wait to go home and have a bottle of Pellegrino (I will be honest, sometimes I grab a glass of wine) and sit on the couch with my feet up, usually on my boyfriend’s lap. I also watch some creepy TV shows to escape reality and then pass out. I love sleeping.
