This Summer Increase You Daily H2O Daily Intake by Infusing It with Fun Herbs

Summers in New York are HOT and Humid which makes it easy to get dehydrated if you don’t drink often and sufficiently. A really fun way to drink more water is to make it FUN by infusing it with delicate and delicious herbs, fruits and/or veggies if you feel adventurous. Infused water upgrade the flavor with no drawbacks as you are not adding sweeteners or any artificial flavors.
I usually make my infused water before I go to bed at night and take it with me in the morning when I leave home. It literally takes a few minutes to make when you have the right ingredients. My favorite combinations these days are:

Lavender Cucumber Water

Ingredients:
1 cucumber, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon dried culinary lavender, or 2 fresh lavender sprigs
2 quarts filtered or spring water

Directions:
1. Add the cucumbers and lavender to a 64-ounce Mason jar or pitcher.
2. Add the filtered water. If using dried lavender, strain before serving.
3. Refrigerate until cold and enjoy.
