1) Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY!! Best place on earth 🙂
I went to LaGuardia Performing Arts High School for dance and then went on to The Boston Conservatory where I graduated with a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance.
3) Why dance?
It has always been a part of my life; I’ve been dancing since I was 2. I was always the crazy one out of my friends, and I think dance was definitely my outlet to let my passion shine!! I honestly feel like I couldn’t live a day without it, so that’s I guess how I know.
4) What do you love about AKT the most?
AKT is unlike any place I know. It brings together so many people and let’s them break out of their shells! It motivates people to live better lives, and I haven’t seen one person leave without a smile on their face. AND on top of that you get a rockin’ bod? I think that’s pretty amazing.
5) How to make it through an AKT workout?
To get through an AKT workout, you really have to let yourself feel the music. Once a song you love comes on that stereo, you really have to just let loose, and your body will follow. It’s definitely one of the toughest workouts out there, but if you’re having fun along the way it makes it a whole lot easier. And that’s essentially my job–to make people have fun and motivate them through the whole class!!
6) Your advise to an AKT Newbie?
I would say don’t get intimidated by the dance aspect of the class. Even if you feel like you’re not the best dancer, we’re all there to help you and, in the end, you’ll find that it’s extremely rewarding if you challenge yourself!!
7) How do you unwind after a busy day?
I either take a long walk around my neighborhood-I love nature and being outside- or I put on my comfiest PJs and watch Seinfeld!!
8) How do you spend your days off?
On my days off, i usually just relax and spend time with friends or family. We love having BBQs so that usually happens too!
9) Favorite jam of the moment?
