New Year, New Menu! AKT’s Health & Wellness Coach, Safia, created this Winter Detox Salad, AKA The Green Stir Fry. Incorporate this into your meal plan at least once a week. Broccoli is known to lower cholesterol and detox the body.
- 1-2 Tbs. coconut oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1/2 yellow onion
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 handful of kale chopped 1/4 avocado, chopped
- Dash of cayenne pepper Black pepper, to taste Himalayan pink salt, to taste 1/2 lemon
- 1/4 cup roasted sliced almonds (optional)
- Heat pan to medium heat, add the coconut oil
- Once oil is hot, add garlic, broccoli and kale to pan. Cook on medium-low heat for about 10 min, until greens turn bright and kale is wilted
- Add in cayenne and black pepper and stir
- Remove from heat, transfer to serving bowl, add chopped avocado, salt and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Stir slightly. Add the roasted almonds.
